as a first-time parent with a newborn, i found myself constantly cold and covered in spit-up when feeding and snuggling my baby. skin-to-skin moments were magical and way too messy for both of us - mama and baby outfit changes became a huge inconvenience and standard burp cloths were not cutting it.

after searching for an oversized, wearable, and absorbent solution that would stay in place throughout the day, and coming up short, i decided to take matters into my own hands. as a sewist and maker in my teen years, i set out to design and create something that would keep me and baby warm and clean, absorb more mess and stay in place throughout the day. while my little one dozed, i took pattern making and sewing classes, perfecting the size, function, material, and design of the product. years and another baby later, i finally perfected the product i wish i had during the first months of parenthood. the loopi wearable burp cloth shawl is a gamechanger - i know from personal experience!

the loopi company is my passion project - a company that makes effortless elegance possible amidst the struggles and snuggles of early parenthood. we make chic, cozy, conscious products that help parents tackle the little messes of newborn life. everything we create is baby-safe and ethically made in california from 100% organic cotton.
